I love biographies and stumbled upon this one while looking for new books on Amazon. It is well written and honest, so definitely recommend.
Fun fact: Normally when listening to an audio book I play it at normal speed and at most increase to 1,5x. Anna Kendricks book is the first where I went below 1x, and played it at 0,85x speed (;

Halten Sie die Hörbuch-Ausgabe von Scrappy Little Nobody für besser als das Buch?

Ich habe sowohl das Buch als auch das Hörbuch von Scrappy Little Nobody. Das Hörbuch hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Das Buch an sich ist schon sehr lustig, aber mit Anna's Betonungen wird es noch besser.

Welcher Moment von Scrappy Little Nobody ist Ihnen besonders im Gedächtnis geblieben?

Sehr viele kleine Momente.
"Burn in hell Tory. I KNOW IT WAS YOU"... vielleicht ganz besonders.

I reckon this book is ideally suited for her fans. It gives a genuine, not embellished, unapologetic insight to Anna Kendrick. As a girl, I think you will find an ally in her. As a boy, you will be forced to take the female perspective and learn a lot about women. I learned about women and show biz, and this part was great. I wondered how a 20 something could write memoirs. I am glad she did. I would be afraid that after 20 years in this business, she would have no longer be able to write the book as she did. The book is recorded just like you imagine Anna Kendrick in an interview: Fast and witty. So fast, as a matter of fact, that it is the first book ever I listened to slowed down to 0.75x. It was just too hard for me at normal speed.

I mean I loved Anna Kendrick before I listened to her reading her book. But afterwards how can someone not love her? She is honest about herself! I love that and wish more people were like her. Celebrity or not. I can listen to that book over and over. And still find it amusing and entertaining and also a little bit comforting. So go and buy that book. You won't regret it!
