Über diesen Titel

Rosalie Carlson is the person everyone turns to in a crisis.

She's kind, calm, caring, and a social worker, after all. She's got it all together…except that her personal life is kind of a disaster. Things can get a little hectic after all, when your complicated best friendship is with a megastar like Savannah Grace.

When twenty-six-year-old Kinsey moved to Nashville, it was in the hopes of finding a creative partner and making it big. When she meets Cassidy Carver, musical sparks fly. It's a chance meeting with a beautiful older woman however, that truly knocks her off her feet.

Rosalie's gorgeous—and there's no denying the intense chemistry between them—but she refuses to consider even a single date with a young musician. Besides, Rosalie's already given up on love, so what would be the point?

Fighting this level of temptation is always a losing battle, but after one red-hot minute, they go their separate ways. It's just lucky there's no connection between their different worlds and no way they'll ever cross paths again…

Book three in the Grace Notes trilogy is an age-gap, contemporary sapphic romance. Includes Two Tickets, a standalone sapphic romance prequel novella.

I liked the first book of the series.
I loved the second book.
The third book left me without words.

While book 2 already was a departure from the classic contemporary romance formula the first book followed, with a wider focus on the family dynamics of the grace household and various topics both heavy and cathartic, this finale to the trilogy truly breaks the mold and put me through crying fits, hysterical giggles and back again over and over again.
While the book is still a romance with smoldering chemistry, deep characters you can't help but root for, and that ever present sense of yearning for the two leads to make it in the end, It is also about so much more.
The story takes so many loose strands from the previous two novels and weaves them together in a comprehensive, painful and beautiful narrative unlike anything I've ever read in the genre.
It talks about queer pain and joy, about the struggles of being trans or gender nonconforming in today's society, and the trauma that comes with having to live in a world that isn't built to accommodate us, and so often is unwilling to change.
It doesn't shy away from discussing some of the worst things we as a community go through, but it also shows the beauty that living authentically can bring, and acts as a stark reminder of the importance of community.

All in all, it is a true Masterpiece, and I can't recommend the whole trilogy enough for any queer listeners looking for their next story to get lost in.

Here's hoping there will be one last book, seeing as there is yet one more story to tell.

an absolutely hilarious, heartbreaking, and beautiful finale
