Savage Species ist wie ein Steak bei dem es der Koch zu eilig hatte. Die Geschichte ist blutig und kommt schnell zur Sache. Dabei bleiben leider sowohl Charakterentwicklung als auch Spannungsaufbau zurück. Dennoch würde ich das Buch jedem empfehlen, der das literarische Äquivalent zu Filmen wie Van Helsing oder From Dusk Till Dawn sucht. Die große Anzahl an Action-Szenen hat mich nach einer Weile gestört, aber das ist schließlich Geschmackssache.

Todd Boyce leistet gute Arbeit als Sprecher, das Hörbuch ist gut produziert und von technischer Seite auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert.
