This was a gentle marriage of convenience romance with a heavy dose of suspense with the smuggler plot line. I loved the main characters and respectful communication and behavior towards each other.

Jayne Davis writes wonderful stories, every one has interesting characters and an in depth story line with locations that cradle it all perfectly. The narrator of the audio book is a pleasure to listen to. I’ll be back for more!

I enjoyed this book enormously. There was nothing jarring about it – the characters were well-rounded and behaved like adults, the story was interesting, and there were no historical inaccuracies. I really like the author‘s writing style! And the performance was lovely, very pleasant voice and acting.
