Es war mein erstes Hörbuch von Nora Roberts und ich war sehr begeistert von der ständigen Spannung die unterschwellig das gesamte Hörbuch vorhanden ist. Mal mehr - mal weniger. Ich fand es klasse.

Nora Roberts beschreibt sehr gut, so dass man lebendige Bilder vor Augen hat. Auch wenn mir die Interaktion zwischen Männern und Frauen in diesem Buch nicht ganz gefällt(ein bisschen zu viel Macho und "unterwürfige" Frauen) ist es sehr spannend und lässt den Hörer lange im Dunkeln mit raten.

I like the narrator a lot, as well as the storytelling of Nora Roberts. "Sanctuary" is a great book, beautifully narrated as usual by Sandra Burr. But why somebody thought it a good idea to use echo sound effects for some of the inner monologues is beyond me. It's ridiculous, highly annoying and completely unnecessary.
