...sich aber nicht zu fragen trauten....

Wie in jedem Dick Francis gibt es auch hier ein Thema, das, zusätzlich zu dem allgegenwärtigen Pferdesport, im Mittelpunkt steht - hier eben die Fotografie. Wie immer spannend und gut recherchiert dargeboten. Die "übliche" Geschichte des jungen Mannes, der unvermittelt und unschuldig in Schwierigkeiten gerät, sie dann löst und auch noch die Frau seines Lebens trifft, ist auch dabei. Ein echter Dick Francis eben !

Ich LIEBE diese Bücher und nachdem ich schon (fast) alle auf Deutsch kenne, höre ich mich so nach und nach durch die englischen Originalversionen, gern gelesen von Tony Britton.
Endlich merkt man hier, das die Bücher tatsächlich in England spielen (jaja, natürlich merkt man das auch in den Übersetzungen !) - was doch so ein bißchen Lokalkolorit ausmachen kann !
Und ungekürzt sind sie auch noch !

Ich kann das Hörbuch nur uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen !!

Having been a serious amateur photographer for the past 55 years, this book to me was absolutely fascinating. When I first read it (the original) it had caught me in thrills. The author has done excellent research on the topic, and integrated it in a brilliant plot. I have read it several times.
And now, narrated by Tony Britton, it was pure delight His way of reading these books reminds me of a radio speaker we used to have on the Austrian radio (now retired) who has a similar gift of bringing books to life.
Truly recommendable!
