For my personal taste, this story overstepped my trigger boundaries where graphic violence is concerned a couple of time, so I'd like to give a warning that if you're sensitive about that, you may want to skip this one. However, if you're fine with graphic violence and a hero who is much less romanticized than a lot of other MC biker novels, more along the lines of a Jax Teller, this one is definitely for you and you're going to love this fierce, intense badass biker MC president for an array of reasons. And even so he is a savage killer, he also has an underlying code of honour and loyalty you'd be hard-pressed to find in the vast majority of mainstream society. This romance between Reaper and the feisty woman he loves is hot, intense, fierce, passionate and raw in all the right places.

Reaper is the first book in the Ruthless Kings MC series with Reaper´s Rise being the prequel novella, which I would recommend reading first as it introduces most of the side characters and gives the reader/listener more of an inside of Jenkins aka Boomer and Sarah´s past and how they ended up with Reaper and the Ruthless Kings MC.

Reaper was an intense, crazy, incredibly hot, at times violent thrill-ride and I freaking loved it. The scenes and interactions are so well written and described that you actually feel like you are watching a movie. The story had me on the edge of my seat wanting more. Scenes are often described quite graphicly, so if you are not good with triggers be warned that there are some.

Reaper is the club president of the Ruthless Kings MC and your prime bad boy alpha. Sarah is the daughter of his best friend who died during a hit. There is brewing chemistry between those two but Sarah is underaged and so very off-limits. Sarah, who had it hard in the past, is strong and feisty and goes after what she wants, which means she does not make things easy for Reaper who is struggling every day trying to keep sane and not be led by temptation.

I loved the start to this series, loved the story, loved Sarah & Reapers intense attraction, loved the introduction to all the other Ruthless King bad boy members who we will meet again in future books.

KL Savage books are new to me and a few book friends keep telling me how amazing these stories are that I got intrigued and had to experience them for myself. So the result is that I am hooked and so excited to continue this intense crazy ride as I am sure each story is as screwed up as the next.

The narrators are new to me but I did like them. Sierra Kline and Logan McAllister did a great job with these characters. I liked their tone and their audible underlining just intensified the story.
