I gotta say, I first got introduced to the works of Mr Beck out of the desperation to find something to keep me entertained while waiting for the newest matthew reilly book. Starting out with the arcadian series I enjoyed myself quiet well, however, what I soon realised was, that at least in Becks earlier works, that military action part that originally lead me to his books, just could not quit reach reillys genious. However, with the ever stronger focus on supernatural topics, the introduction of ever darker an mor twisted storylines and the current ongoing creation of Mr Becks very own Lovecroft universe, and thereby finding his OWN niche he has managed to turn himself into my favourite author! He proved that once again in this awesome book. Especially in the later half, his with the introduction of bits of his now trade mark darker story elements he drives the stakes of Ben's journey to now heights. While it is sad to say goodbye to Ben and his friends (since this is the last book in the series), let me say that the end is a true masterpiece and brings the trilogy to a worthy end.
