If you have no idea, how to fill a book 2, just throw in a romance drama. That's by far my biggest complaint, how senseless and useless the drama between the two main characters is. The whole moving City stuff is just as amusing and bizarre as in the first book, with some more fun flavors to it.

Still good, but very much filler.

Overall, I enjoyed the book very much. The world immediately draws you back into its spell. The only point that I found completely unnecessary was the relationship drama around Tom and Hester.

I really liked the world building in book one and two. But the characters are either annoying or unbearable naiv. Tom in particular was my least favorite characters in both books. Pennyworth called Tom a "romantic", but to me he felt naiv and had the least character growth. I'd love to continue reading about the world of this series, but none of the characters give me any reason to continue unfortunately.

The narrator is great though.
