Listening to this eBook taught me much about the actor behind Poirot and I value his accomplishments now even more. Wish I had known him sooner. What is more, I wish I'd live in England to see him live on stage.

Wonderful Insight

David Suchet is doing a great job talking about David Suchet. You can hear the fondness he holds for "the little man" he played for so long, and it's fun listening to him.

But the recounting itself is surprisingly shallow. Despite the considerable length of the narration, there are hardly any anecdotes and details from filming or fan encounters. In fact, most of the things David Suchet tells us about his history with Poirot on TV, we can easily find out from imdb. I'd have liked more insights regarding how the character changed Suchet and how his family dealt with that, or anything from the actual production apart from, "and then we went to X and did this episode and the screenplay was lovely and the cast was so great, and then we went back to wherever and did the next episode and the screenplay was lovely and the cast was so great! Wait, let me drop a few more names!"

All in all, I expected more.
