Einfach aber gut. Nichts wirklich neues, aber der Erzähler macht seine Sache gut und die Geschichte ist sonst gut geschrieben.

The story is alright. The world is quite interesting and the MC is rather unusual at least in my experience with this genre. But I don’t think I would’ve made it through the story if the narrator wasn’t this good.

It's a quick and easy listen. It takes some time to really pick up, so do expect that. Otherwise the only critique is the editing. A few times you can hear the VA take a sip, but it is an absolute minimal grievance.

Easy read, but surprisingly good story

The story was interesting enough that I really forgot time.
I like the greedy MC and the best thing is that he is smart and not naive.
The Players level up relatively fast, but they are stuck on lower floors for the entire audiobook. Not much is told about other players and the MC is alsone most of the time - I like it.

(+) I really enjoyed the impact the main character has on NPC's by flipping conventional decisions into absurdity with funny outcomes. (-) Repetition of idea

From Zero to jero/herk (Herojerk)…
Low-income, problem-ridden household guy wants to make it in the game & wants to get to the top with as many gains as possible. Power is everything, every other person just a way to compare oneself to > checking how far he can go with people in power, dismissing people without. So generally not the most charming person, but the ideas populating the world are new & innovative.
Not going to buy the next book.

It is a classic RPG book. It is written good, but you can expect most things. It isn't special but I liked it

I just can't warm up to this protagonist, everytime he does something I like he immediately destroys that goodwill by being greedy and manipulative.
I also dislike the overly dramatic tone the narrator takes from time to time.

The game world is interesting but everything related to gameplay(for example balancing, loot and random encounters) feels somewhat off. I can't really put my finger on the problem, but it just prevents me from fully immersing myself in the story.
