This is my favourite Sci Fi book so far. It perfectly captures the feeling and setting of a vehicles crew going to war, and all the things that come with it. It's not a judgement of war, but a description of it. Embedded journalism in the far future, and i love it. The characters are likeable, the story is engaging- you constantly feel the pressure and isolation of being in a vessel of war which you cant leave- as if you were on a submarine, but in space. If you liked the movie "Das Boot", and you like military sci fi, this is perfect.
