An immense lot of factual Information packed into an emotional plea for reading

The author makes splendid use of her incredibly wide array of knowledge on the topics of writing, reading, books and libraries (esp. of Greek and Roman classical times). I could have done, however, with less of the gushingly emotional outpourings of personal reading experiences.
