filler book, weakest volume so far
I still like the story overall and want to know how it continues, but the quality of the volumes has gone downhill: way too many torture scenes, whose descriptions are way longer than makes sene, interludes used as cliffhangers before important scenes, more inserts of more vulgar characters and sadistic female and male characters that serve no purpose past one or two scenes, leadders among the adversaries are almost omnipotent unless the narrative needs them weak then suddenly they're not capable of solving 2+2=4 and have weak characters. I liked the story better when it was lean and streamlined with many intricate but relevant details.
The narrator has a really pleasant voice and a wide range, he showed that in the first 5 books. So I don't get the many grating whiny and unnatural voices and exaggerated accents he started to use during the last few volumes.

Once again, another book where basically nothing happens
I'm done. The bad writing was propped up by the interesting story, but this is yet another book where all that happens over 12 hours is that Alex is stuck somewhere, then leaves.
