The end did sadden me, but I also feel like authors often have to make the difficult choice between pleasing their readers by giving their favorite characters a happy end and by honoring their story and seeing it through to the end. Schwab did the latter and while part of me acted shocked, another new that this was the only way the story could have ended. Bravo, Schwab wrote another brilliant book!

My advice to myself would be: „Don’t bother!“ Constant repetitions of the same phrases, i.e. „With due respect…“😴
Stupidity of the main characters! Aaah😖 How can they not see the trap, when they suspected a trap a moment ago and they know what the imprisoned monster does!?

V.E. Schwab: You can do better than writing yet another teenage paranormal romance! 🤨
