This was an interesting thought experiment presented as a love story. I always enjoy how Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novels have something extra to them. I enjoyed the premise of One True Loves but it didn’t hold up to her other works.

I really enjoyed the first three quarters of this book, where the characters are introduced in their teenage years and how they all meet and grow up. The characters and the premise of the story are intriguing and enjoyable to read. But, unfortunately, she lost me in the last quarter.

Without wanting to add spoilers I’ll say that the ending was too neat. Even though the problems that were presented were pretty big, it all worked out too perfectly. For me this ending was unrealistic and didn’t honor the thought provoking premise of the book.

This wasn't my favourite book by the author, but still 5/5 stars. I'm just amazed how she comes up with the wildest stories but they still feel sooo believable and relatable.
