This fast-paced novel combines two genres - coming of age and crime. It is initially set in Texas but the action moves on to Nevada and Arizona. On the Run has strong themes and occasional violent confrontations as the author explores the motivations behind the characters and the events they find themselves in as well as the aftermath. The two main characters, Angelina and Steven, are 17-year-olds who have grown up in very different worlds. They will soon forever be reshaped by what happens after they meet on the run.
