I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this book. Like all of Carrie Hope Fletcher’s work, it had a touch of magic woven into the story, which made it engaging and enjoyable. I listened to the audiobook and loved how she presented it—her narration added a personal and immersive touch.
That said, while the story was easy to follow and had its charms, the ending left me disappointed. It felt like something is missing. The book is light and easy to read (or listen to), making it a good choice for when you want something comforting yet whimsical.
If On the Other Side is a door between life and death, then for me, it swung open to a lovely story but didn’t quite close with the satisfaction I hoped for.
