Romulus Solutions, an AI company in Palo Alto, has created a biomedical AI model that designs bacteriophage targeted against malign bacteria. When North Korea obtains the model through a cyber-attack, there is seemingly little to fear as it’s protected by unbreakable encryption—until an American mole inside the company vanishes with the keys.
