It is truly brilliant - Dark, exquisitely crafted and written with a true love for the world and universe the story unfolds in.

The book: It's dark. It's good. You shold read (/listen to) it.
The narrator: great variety and audibility even for those who aren't native speakers.

But, about the audibook quality. There are some audio issues where the overall volume randomly fades a little and comes back 3 seconds later. Listening via smartphone this makes me alert every time, als I think a call is about to come in - but it isn't. Just the volume going for a stroll. It's a pity, as the rest is fantastic. Even the whispered voices are equally loud to the spoken word. Hopefully this issue doesn't carry over to the next (audio)book in the series.

Jay Kristoff doesn't like typical characters and storys. This book will immerse you into a world of shadows and cruelty, make you sweat and smile. Revenge never was so sweet.

... not quite the right word. This book is full of evil and dark. Often very bloody, but in the end also calming.
And the narrator? A master of his trade, I would call him.

Great possibilities for imagination! A bit hard to listen to at the beginning, but after you get used to it, it is a great speaker.
