The book itself is WONDERFUL, BRILLIANT EVEN, the narrator PERFECT, but the recording itself is garbled in more than 5 or 6 places, like literally a whole chunk of text is cut off in the middle of a sentence or a word and repasted to a section that comes several minutes later. So unhappy about this.

I was so excited about the premise (even if it’s a little predictable) and the demisexuality representation. But the writing style was not enjoyable, to say the least. It’s as if the author doesn’t trust readers to draw the right conclusions and instead spoon-feeds them every meaning. I couldn’t connect with the main character and the wider cast felt super flat. Bummer!
