Umso neugieriger war ich auf My Oxford Year, ihr Debüt als Autorin. Und was soll ich sagen? Sie ist nicht nur eine brillante Sprecherin, sondern auch eine fantastische Erzählerin.
Die Geschichte ist viel mehr als eine klassische Liebesgeschichte – sie ist klug, tiefgründig, berührend und poetisch. Die Charaktere sind lebendig, vielschichtig und glaubwürdig. The plot twist I didn’t see coming made this book more profound than I thought at the beginning and I really liked it. However, I feel like Julia skipped over the hard parts at the end.

I saw every scene in my imagination while listening. My perfect Jamie would be Sam Claflin. When she talks about his smile I could only see him. Funny enough I never pictured Ella.
