Surprinsingly relatable, taking into account that her almost superhuman beauty and popularity sets her a "few" social circles apart from the average person. She has an unapologetic raw honesty in describing her inner self that just hits home. For my personal taste, some of the stories are underdeveloped here and there and overly described in other spots but overall well written. Honeslty left me wanting more :)) I am looking forward to reading her next and seeing how she will develop as a writer.

These essays on womanhood coming from someone who seemingly has it all will be relatable to so many women, regardless of their status in the society. Emily opens up about her ups and downs in life and the career as a model, but most importantly as a woman in a man’s world. Her essays made me sad and feel rage along her side, relating to how fragile we are made to feel in the world and how our bodies and our image is constantly threatened to be claimed and possessed by men around us.

- half the time I was Wanderung who S. is ans if that is her husband or what is happening...
+/- little weird to have a book full of sex and rape dedicated to your child (but a lot of people do that)
+/- the cover doesn't show the author at all, even though the title is 'my body'

This isn‘t about her beeing the victim, it is about the industry of beeing sexualized and women profiting from it. Further more it is about how sexualization effects the self-perception.
I loved her point of view and can recommend the book, her voice is amazing.
