A fast paced, twisty tale of glamour, intrigue and murder on the shores of Lake Garda. With enough red herrings to keep even the most ardent armchair detective puzzled, this is one wedding invitation you’ll want to accept (Fiona Leitch)
However, the atmosphere was a bit too tense even before someone had died, which was a bit draining. The main protagonist really wants this to be a detective novel since she is certain she must be the one to figure this out, which was kind of annoying at times. A lot of the conflict between the main couple are just down to lacking communication, a trope that just serves lazy writing and makes you roll your eyes a lot.
Overall it was enjoyable enough but I had to put in a bit of effort to keep on listening because the people were just being so stupid.
The voice acting was not bad, just a question of personal preference. Maybe a little monotone at times, but in the emotional scenes the VA did a great job!
