Evie, the Countess of Woodridge, is hosting a house party to celebrate the end of summer. Some of the guests include a famous actress trying to revive her career, a theater critic renowned for his biting reviews, a newspaper owner in need of a scandal, and more than a few guests with motives for murder.

Evie could not have hoped for a livelier group of guests to amuse her granny, Toodles, who has finally arrived for a visit and is eager for some entertainment. However, Evie gets more than she bargained for when one of the guests dies right before their eyes.

Probably weakest story so far. Characters‘ reactions are too predictable, the constant throat-clearing is annoying and completely artificial.

Unconvincing story -line

ich hab jetzt alle Folgen bisher gestreamt, während ich Weihnachtsgeschenke stricke - und dies ist die mit Abstand schlechteste Geschichte. Nicht nur die Riege der alten Damen ist anstrengend, auch Caro und vor allem Evie, die sich gegenüber Tom einfach unmöglich benimmt.
Ich hoffe mal sehr, dass die Weihnachtsfolge besser ist!

The previous episodes were mildly amusing, but with this storyline, the series enters even more unrealistic territory. If I had listened more closely, I would have found the characters irritating, but my mind kept drifting off… The fact that the characters pretty much all talk in a very similar voice doesn’t exactly make for a very lively performance either.
