one epic story stretching over several years and giving some interesting new ideas about the long-term development of life after the zombie apocalypse and the assumed longevity of zombies. try it! Not to forget the speaker: his rendering is a delight!

Most Zombie books and series that I've heard so far are written for young adults and you're realizing it most of the time after you've already invested a good amount of time. But this series makes it clear that this is a completely different beast that you can just compare with a hand full of other books. Humans are humans and we can imagine pretty well how big parts of them will behave in a manner like the characters in this books. A part of this society are acting like power hungry psychopaths if they don't have to fear any bad consequences for their doings.
So I can't understand how people are saying that their is to many swearing or violence in books like this.
If this has to many bad language or gore for your liking, you should maybe stay with the young adults zombie books that aren't realistic at all. I wish everyone a good listening!

This series as sends you on a story that you have really to hear if you like the zombie genre!
