Large chests are said to encompass all manner of hopes and dreams. Men covet them. Women envy them. But one fact holds true - everyone wants to get their hands on some big ones.
The same holds true for one intrepid adventurer - a strapping young lad by the name of Himmel. Armed with his grandfather's trusty longsword and the dream of being the strongest, he sets out on the journey of a lifetime! It is sure to be a long and dangerous road, fraught with danger! And it all starts with a simple test - reach Level Five in the dungeon called the "newbie zone" and earn the right to become a full-fledged adventurer!
However, such things get hopelessly derailed when his adolescent mind beholds an exposed chest for the first time - a fateful meeting that would inevitably lead his life in a direction he never even dreamed of!

Everybody Loves Large Chests was first brought to Jeff Hays on Soundbooth Theater Live, his live streaming narration show. Since then, it has been the most consistently requested and enjoyed title by fans. So much so, that Neven Iliev finally decided to approach us to put out a full audio version of the first arc in Boxxy's adventures!

enjoyable story. production flawed
the fact there was effort to give each character a distinct voice was nice.. but there always being a silent cut off at the beginning of each chapter pulls you out of it each time.

Do not let the name throw you...
...unlike the name suggests, this isn't a lude, childish story (yes, there are some of that), but rather a surprizingly creative and fresh story about... well.. let's spoil as little as possible, shall we?
I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this book and honestly, you can hear from the reader's voice, he certainly did too.
You will also enjoy this book if gallows or otherwise inappropriate humor (think South Park, maybe) is your thing.

A very different perspective on a dungeon RPG
Came here because of Jeff Hays performance in Dungeon Crawler Carl and will stay here because of the story and Jeff Hays performance. What the hell is this little killbox gonna do next and how high will it evolve?!

great pitch amazing execution
this book is incredibly entertaining and the world that illiev is crafting here is very easy to grasp.

Überraschend komisch
Bitte mehr davon! Ein herrlich komisches Hörbuch. Habe es fast am Stück durchgehört. Für alle zu empfehlen, die mal ein RPG gespielt haben.

Mid-quality LitRPG with some sparks
The idea around the main character is a neat, novel idea, and it's realized with a good deal of detail and care - but there's where the buck already stops. The story does not seem to follow any goal except the chaotic development of the protagonist, characters are rather cliché, and the writing is LitRPG-typical dialogue-heavy interspersed with snarky games master remarks.
It shines in its absurdity and some fun little ideas and character interactions.
The reader does an exceptionally good job to give personality to the characters and convey atmosphere, even if he does not always succeed. Listening to him is half the fun.
So if you like a story that works like watching a video game being played, and don't have too many expectations toward depth and complexity of story, it's a nice irreverent diversion for a couple of hours.

What the name promises
The story is a simple one but also a fun one.
If you like non conventional fantasy you found the right book.
The writing is fun and light hearted and so is the narration there are a few special effects that really add to the entertainment.

Simply great!
Bought it out of curiosity. Just wanted to listen to something differet to my usual stuff. And different it is! the start is kind of strange and it took me a while to grasp who- or what- is going to be the main character. This main character than is continously developing over the following books and to me this one of thd big plus of this series as well as its refreshing being distinkt to the other, lets say... more family friendly main stream stuff.
Here you are facing explicit discriptions of violent, brutal and as well sexual actions. But still, at many occasions it made me just lough hard.
It is great, crazy, and I could not stop hearing all the available titles. The only, slightly anoing thing is that this fantasy world is structured like a gaming world with levels and jobs and so on, what itself seems to be commen these days and i am fine with it. But the extend of time the author is referring to the statuses of the various characters is a little to much for mg taste but often you have the chance to just skip it by jumping to the next chapter.

Really good!

Nette Überraschung
Bei dem Titel habe ich eine Notgeile Comedy erwartet. Ich wurde aber positiv überrascht. Eine Clevere Geschichte aus der Perspektive des Monsters in einem Lit-RPG Dungeon.
