The history, phases, influencing factors, evolution of hedge funds is fascinatingly conveyed in a structured way, making it easy to follow and picture also while listening. I did not fact-check everything and cannot vouch for total objectivity and balance of the stated facts, but the author seems to make an effort not to favor any one side in any given situation. He states his opinions about necessary measures at the very end though.
All in all, a valuable history for anyone who is interested, intellectually, theoretically or as a practitioner and participant in the markets. It did help me better understand certain large-scale dynamics.
