The story is not too bad. Rather shallow, but I can’t tell whether that would have bothered me with the actual book…
What is truly horrible about this audiobook is the reading voice. It’s actually hard to describe what exactly makes it so bad. I think it’s just very unnatural. Very annoying hasty tone, even when just describing surroundings or with narration like „…she said“. It is possibly supposed to be sexy, but I have found it very distracting.
Conversations are weird and unbelievable because of the exaggerated accent. Sexy scenes are the same as everything else.
Because of the voice being so much in the foreground, for me there was no story immersion whatsoever.
