Über diesen Titel

When the man she's always been in love with starts dating one of her friends, artist Serenity Adesina creates a to-do list that will help her get over him once and for all.

The first item on that list?

Losing her virginity to Archer Harrison, her older brother's billionaire best friend…and her boss.

He's the perfect choice—alluring, caring, and entirely emotionally unavailable.

Their deal was supposed to be simple: Serenity will paint Archer anything he wants in return for a secret, no-strings-attached relationship.

Except each kiss leaves them both wanting more, tempting them to risk it all for what's growing between them. That is, until a cruel twist of fate shows them that giving in to their feelings comes at a far higher cost than they could've imagined.

and in my head mocked the female narrators hyper dramatic intonation. She made it an almost impossible quest to listen to the story. I was so deeply annoyed by the whimpy, pathetic jammering that I can‘t really judge the story. What bugged me the most is how old the female voice sounds. She is supposed to be a 22 yo virgini, but sounds like a overly dramatic grandmother. Totally sullied the character.
I am not expecting any high literature when choosing this genre, but this was just ridiculous. How often can you use phrases like „didn’t sit well with me“ and „a feeling I never had before“. I am no native speaker, but i would think the english language has more in store.

Can’t say how often I rolled my eyes
