Yeah no, I DNFed this one about three hours in, I think. Miller's constant dominant attitude towards Ashlyn p*ssed me off to no end. And no, I don't mean dominant in a s*xy kind of way, but in a "we're doing this my way because you're always being unreasonable with all your own opinions and wanting to do things your way which I don't like" and "oh you women don't know what you want and I know better" kind of way. He repeatedly calls her a b*itch because she doesn't "obey" him when he's bossing her around. Calls her stubborn when she doesn't immediately follow his "orders". Frickin toxic. All under the guise of protecting her and "I know better".
I don't want anything to do with this kind of man, not even in a book...
The narrators are doing a really good job though, I have to say. at least there 's that.
