O tym tytule

The first Atticus Pund and Susan Ryeland mystery from bestselling author Anthony Horowitz, and inspiration for the major hit BBC series MAGPIE MURDERS.

Editor Susan Ryland has worked with bestselling crime writer Alan Conway for years. Readers love his detective, Atticus Pünd, a celebrated solver of crimes in the sleepy English villages of the 1950s.

But Conway's latest tale of murder at Pye Hall is not quite what it seems. Yes, there are dead bodies and a host of intriguing suspects, but hidden in the pages of the manuscript lies another story: a tale written between the very words on the page, telling of real-life jealousy, greed, ruthless ambition and murder.

From the creator of Midsomer Murders comes a fiendish mystery perfect for fans of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot.

Praise for Magpie Murders - the gripping Sunday Times bestselling crime thriller:

'Ingenious' Sunday Times
'Thrilling and compelling with a stunning twist' Daily Mail
'A stylish thriller' Sunday Mirror
'A cunning reinvention of the thriller' Mail on Sunday

A truly entertaining and gripping story told by excellent narrators. With surprising twists, meta-theatrical story-within-a-story structure and unique characters, my mind puzzled the pieces at the same time as investing in its characters.

Engaging story, excellent performance

The two narrators are absolutely perfect! Top class! It is a delight to listen to this audiobook.
The story is for any Agatha Christie and Hercule Poirot fan or for any reader who likes classic "Whodunit" crime fiction.

Brilliantly read!

Two mysteries in one book. Very enjoyable!
People who like whodunnits by A.Christie and the likes will love this book. It's deliciously old fashioned, and full of surprises. A realy treat and highly recommended.

I absolutely loved the story set in the 50s. I thought I might get annoyed by the 'story in the story", but that wasn't the case. Usually, I prefer male readers, but Samantha Bond did a great job (and so did Alan Corduner). I enjoyed every minute of it! Totally worth buying if you like Agatha Christie :)

Loved it!
