One young man's journey to master the art of magic...

Jack wants nothing more than to be a mage. He trains by himself every day, cultivating mana and focusing on building his internal magic. All with the hope of one day joining a mage guild. Except one day, Jack encounters a strange object in the forest. It is the heart of a dungeon. Somehow, he absorbs the dungeon's heart into his body. Before he knows what to do, he encounters a peculiar man by the name of Lachlan Woe. He is a mage of great power, he says, and he is in need of an apprentice.

So, Jack ventures to the Shadow Tower, which Lachlan Woe calls his home. There, Jack will begin his studies and train to become a mage.

It soon becomes clear that Jack's powers are not those of regular mages. After absorbing the dungeon heart, his potential seems boundless, and even his mysterious mentor is in awe. Even so, Jack must work hard to learn exactly what his limits are, if there are indeed any limits at all to his magic.

All the while, Jack will explore the Shadow Tower, meet its bizarre inhabitants, and discover the secret origin of the tower and its master.

Wer eine endspannende Story mit einem Jugendlichen Karakter die Mann ohne große Anstrengung hören kann, ist hier genau richtig! Keine übermächtige Spannung und gemächliche Story!

Jetzt Kretick (Spoiler)

Kritik ist immer von persönlicher ansicht und Meinung geprägt und die sind bei jedem Menschen Anderst also nimm Kretick nicht zu persönlich sondern pick daraus raus wenn etwas davon auch deiner Meinung das Buch betrifft

Punkt1:
Die Hauptfigur lernt alles viel zu schnell so wie die Welt aufgebaut ist braucht man so gut wie keine Lehrer‘

Punkt 2:
Story ist zu easy going ohne wirklichen Geschichtsinhalt!

Punkt 3:
Dann werden die dungeonfähigkeiten nicht richtig genutzt!

Punkt 4:
Es ist so lustig wie er dauernd Dinge macht von denen er Keine Ahnung hat und Niemand ihm auch nur etwas gezeigt oder beigebracht oder er ein lehr Buch gelesen hat! Er kann es einfach so bum neuer Zauber bum, neues enchantment Boom!

Punkt 5:
Die zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen und Gespräche hören sich an als wären Menschen zusammen die sich Zeit 100 Jahre kennen und es fehlt der Punkt wo Menschen zögerlich miteinander umgehen!

Punkt 5:
Dem Buch fehlt jedwedesspannungsgefühl (kein spannungsbogen einer Geschichte vorhanden)

To be transparent: I stopped listening in Chapter 9 (of 23). Thus, it might be the case that the rest of the book is brilliant and that I was just too impatient. The reason why I stopped reading is the slow and repetitive writing style. E.g., every 5 minutes the author reminds us about how happy the protagonist is about being able to cast magic and finding a master.
