Vanguard Towers 02 - Eli & Wyatt
Once Eli sees the photo of the missing hiker in the National Forest he is stationed at, his heart is lost. Neither darkness nor bad weather stop him for searching for Wyatt immediatly. When he and his dog Uno finally discover Wyatt and a baby bobcat on the edge of a steep cliff it literally all goes downhill. Being stuck for days in a tiny tent in the deepest woods proves that the attraction between them is mutual. But can they keep what they have found after they are rescued and return back to their normal lives?
Aiden Bates focuses on dare-devil Eli and his smart working-dog Uno in „Lost and Found“. His job takes Eli away for months, but when he is home at the Vanguard Towers he loves feeding his herd of brothers. He clicks with Wyatt, vet nurse and animal lover, perfectly. The author has created a breathtaking adventure for those two men in the first half. I liked that the story continues after their rescue but the second half drags on a bit with Eli assuming too much about Wyatt's feelings for his ex-lover instead of asking while Wyatt is just too nice to let Tony down the hard way.
Another brilliant narration by Joseph Thorson, who made following Eli & Wyatt's development easy with giving action Eli a slight accent and gentle Wyatt a soft voice. The cliff scene was so intense that even my heart pounded and my hands became sweaty. I liked that Wyatt fits in seaminglessly with the bunch of brothers. Still my personal heros of this story were Uno and little Scrabbles.
