From wounded to healing a story of courage and redemption

Lilly's life was turned upside down when her beloved mother died from cancer and no one in her family was willing to take her in, not even her mother’s sister who had money. Lilly had never known her father, her mother never talked about him. When none in her family would take her in the Pastor from her church arranged for a couple to take her in Lilly is devastated that she now must live with strangers. The couple were childless and seemed eager to take Lilly into their home.

Lilly soon discovers that things are not what they seem on the surface. When a painful event changes Lilly forever, she knows that she must leave that place. To her surprise Lilly has an ally from an unexpected source in Sara when faced with a life-altering decision, the two form a bond due to certain events. They must rely on each other to get through. Sara must face her painful past going back home she swore she would never go back. Sara soon realizes that coming home is the best thing that could have happened to her.

Shaun has loved Sara for as long as he can remember but when she betrays him it leaves a hole in his heart. Seeing Shaun was painful for Sara. When she saw him again all the old feelings she had buried inside for him resurfaced again it was like no time had passed between them. Anna is Lilly's new friend she is nice and the two get along well she accepts Lilly and the two are inseparable. Being at a new school proved to have challenges for Lilly.

Madison was a popular girl at school and she made it very difficult for Lilly. Even with all the support and love that the Washingtons and Sara give Lilly she still longed to know about her father and where she came from. She did not know if her father would accept her but she had to go and find out although it meant leaving everyone she knew she had to make that decision to go and find her father.
