Am relevantesten
Es bring viel Spaß Johnny Depp und John Fox zuzuhören. Allerdings ist es nicht immer ganz leicht zu verstehen, kann aber auch an meinem Englisch liegen. Nichts desto trotz hatte ich viel Spaß und war nach kurzen 23 Stunden noch nicht bereit zum Ende zu kommen.

this is a great book if you are at least a tiny bit interested in the stones or rock or rhythm n blues music. dont get me wrong. its mostly all good but I had to cut 2 star off of performance for though I loved how Johnny Depp read his parts (5stars) I didnt like Joe Hurleys parts (2 stars, yeah really, and thats well meant) at all. didnt sound that much believably genuine, too much like a wanna sound cool, yep personally I found it really annoying, forced, played, fake, overexagerrated, lame even though over time I became more and more used to it. Keith himself then narrating at the end of the book is just priceless, a revellation, thats 5 stars at least there.

The book all in all grew more interesting to me towards the end anyway. But I have to cut 1 more star off cause to me it was a bit too detailled here and there, I do not need to hear about everything about Keiths life I guess. So overall this is a great audiobook, just a bit too long and one of the narrators didnt deliver it my cup of tea style. I wish they would have let Johnny Depp read the whole book, his parts are read so much better, light years better.

Das Buch ist ein Muss für jeden Rocknrollinteressierten. Äußerst kurzweilig, humorvoll.

Der erste Sprecher, ich glaube es ist Depp, macht das auch sehr gut. Der zweite liest aber die ganze Zeit, als hätte er vorher alle Drogen eingenommen, um die es im Text mitunter geht. Soll wohl extra originell sein.

Furchtbar! Musste auf das geschriebene Buch wechseln.

Ich habe nicht viel mit den Stones am Hut, bin aber davon ausgegangen, dass der Mann was zu erzählen hat. Hat er, und nicht nur über sich, sondern über viele, viele bekannte Künstler und mehr oder minder bekannte Events.

Das Buch hält sich nicht all zu lange mit der Kindheit auf, was ich persönlich bei Biografien mag.

Johnny Depp liest auf die übliche Art, die man von seinen Off Beiträgen in diversen Filmen gewohnt ist, ruhig und gut verständlich. Joe Hurley hingegen mimt den Irischen Dorftrunkenbold (vielleicht mimt er ihn auch gar nicht), was streckenweise unterhaltsam aber teils auch kaum zu verstehen ist – zumindest für mich. Nach Möglichkeit lieber erst probehören.

This is the most amazing biography I have ever heard. It is wild, emotional and well spoken.

The only one thing that confused me is sometimes it is not clear whose pov it is.

Regardless, I listen to this quite often and have a whole new appreciation for the Stones.
