When you live in a small, remote town, and you’re related to half the population, meeting someone isn’t easy. Enter Elaina Quintero.

Running the Ambrose Tavern and Boarding House with his brother, Paxton knew everyone in Calaway Crossing. So, when a strange woman showed up at the bar one night, he knew she wasn’t a local.

Elaina Quintero was the new paramedic. Hired to sit in an ambulance five days a week. She loved her job, but she hated where it had taken her. This middle of nowhere town was not where she wanted to be.

Meeting the Calaway brothers was pleasant though. And even though she had no intention of pursuing either one of them, she found herself debating who was more appealing. Paxton was young, buff, and a little too scruffy. His old brother Remington was more her type. He was serious, clean-cut, and probably older than her. If nothing else, they’d be a nice distraction.

Paxton found Elaina fascinating, and he was determined to show her that his tiny town had its charms. But there were two major obstacles to that. Elaina thought he was too young for her and didn’t seem to want to begin a relationship with him or anyone else. She also made it quite clear that Calaway Crossing was just a pit stop. Staying there forever was not an option.

Last Call is the first book in the Calaway Crossing Series.
