Am relevantesten
I first listened to an abridged audio production during the first Cold War times. In the current second Cold War situation I listened to this unabridged reading - and loved it even better. It has lost none of it's sparkle in the meantime. To some degree it is also a meticulous "procedural", which -for me- makes it even more gripping. A good long twisted story, so I am already looking forward to listening to it again in a few years time. To me, a Classic.

Timeless Classic Adventure Thriller

Die Geschichte ist spannend und glaubhaft. Es ist eine klassische Spionagegeschichte, die mitten im sibirischen Winter spielt. Die widrigen Umstände sind so gut beschrieben, dass einem beim Hören beinahe kalt wird.

Der Sprecher erzählt sehr gut. Man kann gut folgen und er macht entsprechende Akzente je nach Sprache. Einen Stern Abzug weil jede männliche Nebenfigur die absolut gleiche Stimme mit den gleichen Betonungen hat. Ein wenig Abwechslung wäre schön gewesen. Es hat aber in keiner Weise von Geschichtd abgelenkt.

The performance is astounding. It’s difficult for me to believe it was just Noble. The story is so large and yet so precise. The research that must’ve gone into it alone is a thing to behold.
