nothing can beat the six of crows duology, I was also kinda sad that the shifting POV didn't include multiple narrators this time, but I listened to this in two days, as it was really gripping
I didn't like some of the plotpoints, some felt too much like a rewrite of the rules, and this book feels more like two separate stories crammed into one, I would have loved to see both as their own individual books
but overall I greatly enjoyed this book and immediately started listening to the next

When I started this Duology I genuinely never expected to fall in love with these characters as much as I did. Leigh Bardugo had done an amazing job with the Grishaverse so far and coming from the Six of Crows Duology my expectations were quite high. But I'm happy to say my expectations were more than exceeded. This Duology is my favorite of the different series so far and since I already finished "Rule of Wolves" as well, I can now confidently say that it's the best in my opinion. Great characters, believable actions and consequences and emotions, and a great story. Lauren Fortgang of course did an amazing job with narrating once again.

Autorin und Sprecherin fand ich einfach klasse! Ich konnte nicht aufhören und hab mich den ganzen Tag nur darauf gefreut endlich wieder weiter hören zu können.
