Terrible Speaker with the most monotonous voice
I can not really judge the story, as I only managed to listen to one hour. After that I decided to say good bye to my money and remove this book because the speaker was absolutely terrible. I have downloaded the book now with another speaker...

Really bad performance...
The narrator made it impossible to listen to the end. I listened to the dutch Version of the book and came to know that the story really is good, but the way the narrator pronounces every fifth word as if he asks you if you belive what he says, takes away every sense of what actually is written.

Just bearable
The story is good, but it’s written as if the audience might be a child; too basic at times. Reacher is a macho character who in the films is pretty cool but in the first person of the book, clearly thinks the world of himself. That gets annoying, especially when I was working things out faster than he. The narrator has a rhythmic lilt which was also mostly annoying but fit Reacher perfectly. Also, one of the characters started out sounding like Stuey from Family Guy, which made me laugh. Unfortunately, it changed after an hour or so.

Exciting story – terrible reader
After watching the series, I decided to give the actual book/story a go. The descriptive writing is great. However, the speaker is terrible to listen to and makes it unbearable to follow the story. The intonation is off and if I hadn’t paid for the audiobook, I would have stopped listening to it.

First appearance of Jack Reaches with hard to believe coincidences in the middle of nowhere. Not the best Reacher, but definitely worth reading.
