Snowbound at Christmas...

The tall, dark stranger needed Wren Matthew's help - and the shy high school teacher couldn't turn away a man in distress. She didn't know why Keegan Winslow was out in the middle of an ice storm, but the spirit of the holidays compelled her to open her home to him. And although she'd sworn off men, she couldn't deny the sparks that crackled between them.

Keegan was a cop on a mission when sweet, lovely Wren rescued him from the storm. But the haven - and the love - he found in her arms was a happiness he knew couldn't last. Especially when he couldn't offer her the one thing she wanted: his heart.

Meest relevant

Usually I just love, love, love Lori Wilde, I already read a bunch of books of hers and listened to some other books from this series already, but this one is somehow a little disappointing. I actually don't like the female character. I totally understand her fears and problems due to her past but I do ask myself how was this woman ever able to survive alone. Besides she is not very clever, especially towards the end. I expected much more of her and was really disappointed by her actions. Sorry, but I was just not hooked this time, but I guess that everyone has to make up his own mind about this story. However the narrator was great a ever. Except from this one I will always recommend books by Lori Wilde, also from this series.

Unexpectedly a little disappointing this time
