Wasted Potential
I like the novel, I like the voice actors. However, direction for the characters as well as the music was utterly unbearable, often ruining a carefully set up mood, by being wildly out of place. The music in particular is so generic and omnipresent, that it starts getting on your nerves even before it goes against the scene.
They really should have taken some inspiration from the movies instead. Especially this contrast makes the audiobook seem like garbage at times.
This makes me sad as a fan. I'd much rather listen to an audiobook than read the novels, but this certainly isn't the kind of adaptation, this series deserves.
