Loved the story and the depth of it. The characters are amazing, it’s also great to meet characters from previous stories again or hear their names and get the story behind it. I liked the twists and turns of the story, laughed, cried and overall just really enjoyed it a lot.

I love how Abby’s books just always have this deeper dimension, especially when it comes to mental Health and relationships. It’s amazing how she describes PTSD and other mental conditions, I feel it made me understand people who are dealing with these issues on a whole other level, and even made me find a few aspects of my own character that might be worth re-examining.
While the story depicts quite serious struggles and topics, it is also cute, funny and swoon worthy, while still being so real somehow. As Someone who has read nearly everything she has ever written, I also loved all the Easter eggs and cameos!
This is a great book if your looking for a romance that isn’t just sunshine, this book has clouds and rain and sun, but most of all it has hope, it has love, it has rainbows.

Performances were amazing as well, would definitely recommend.

I really loved 'Just for the Summer'. Loved the characters, the story, the setting. It was all really well done in my opinion. In her other books (the ones I'v read) Jimenez usually has some big drama/gesture in the end, that to me (especially in Yours Truly) often felt completely over the top. So I was very happy, that in Just for the Summer the whole story felt very authentic and relatable. It was a feel-good book with some real-life problems, that Jimenez dealt with in a really good way.

I enjoyed the previous books of the series, but I think this is my favourite. I deeply cared for the characters and their journey. The story got deeper than I expected from what I perceived as a "light summer read".
It's been a while since I read the first two books, so I didn't immediately catch the connections, but once I did my jaw dropped. I will definitely re-read all three again to fully appreciate it.
