    Beschreibung von Audible

Editors Select, May 2015 - Years ago, as I was just starting to explore the genre of sci-fi, my best friend (a huge Crichton fan) urged me to read Jurassic Park - the basis, of course, for the blockbuster film franchise. I'm not too ashamed to admit that the movie terrified me as a kid, but in many ways, the novel is even more frightening, as it relies more heavily on the science that makes Jurassic Park possible - and very unstable - adding an unsettling dose of reality to this cautionary tale. I'm so excited to relive this book in audio as it’s released unabridged for the very first time with the incredible Scott Brick narrating - providing the perfect measured, authoritative voice for such a science-heavy listen. And with Jurassic World coming this summer, there's simply no better time to dive in to this classic. - Sam, Audible Editor

    Kritikerstimmen

"Scott Brick brings a chilling calm to the complex story with his deep, even tone and clear enunciation.... He does a particularly fine portrayal of John Hammond, the creator of the controversial park, giving the character a raspy edge that suits the dark agenda beneath his grandfatherly facade." A masterpiece!!!

I have always been a huge fan of dinosaurs since I was a child. So naturally I loved the Jurassic Park movie and I always wondered how the book was. Now I’ve finally decided to get it and I must say I’m overwhelmed by it. It is so great. It’s definitely totally different than the movie and I’m glad they did not did the movie exactly like the book. I believe a lot of people wouldn’t have liked dinosaurs anything that’s been the case. But the book, the story in itself is a absolute masterpiece. I’m getting the second book right away. So everyone who’s interested, i can only say, get the book but don’t compare it to the movie. You may be disappointed. Treat it like it is, an outstanding different story with a lot of ethical questions asked in our society. Wonderful.

    Wunderbar!

Insgesamt sehr befriedigend.

Still my absolute favorite story of all time.

Exciting, thought-provoking, timeless. Michael Crichton at his absolute best. No one comes even close. A must-read/-listen.
