Lob an den Sprecher, er verkörpert viele Charaktäre mit eindeutigen Sprechgewohnheiten.

Die Charaktäre geschrieben von Fonda Lee sind wahnsinnig gut durchdacht und agieren so wie man es von ihnen erwarten würde. Auch ein Kompliment an die Hinweise die die Autorin streut, welche später zu gewissen Ereignissen führen. Sehr gut nachvollziehbar.

Die Parallelen zu unserer Realität sind sichtbar und gut eingebaut.

Mich persönlich haben einige Erzählstränge nicht sonderlich interessiert, obwohl diese selbst gut erzählt wurden. Barrow's Storyline hätte ich weggelassen auch wenn diese einen greifbaren Kontrast zur prävalenten Kultur der Greenbones eröffnet.

Bitte lesen wenn du gute Charaktäre und eine glaubwürdige Realitätit mit einem harten Magie-System magst!

Loved the world building and the characters. The world is so close to reality that I was constantly looking for parallels but fantastical enough to make me accept its magic. The characters are truely multidimensional and faced with real dilemmas but inspite of their flaws i never stopped rooting for them.

I have held on until the mid of the series. However, I have given up at this point. I have no idea where the story is heading to. What is all this about? What is the bigger picture? Is it just about a war between two clans which are both equally disgusting? Half way through the story, there is no clue that there could be more to it. Honestly, I do not care any more. I do not care, which clan will win the war, I do no not care about the fate of any of the main characters, which I do not like anyway. I do not care whether there will be a decisive twist later on or not. To sum up, I do not care how the story ends. It is simply excruciatingly boring.
