Reidon Ward will become a god.

Ich war erst skeptisch, würde jedoch äußerst positiv von der Story und der Welt überrascht . Schlussendlich könnt ich nicht das Hörbuch kaum pausieren . Klare höhr Empfehlung

I just listened to the first six hours but I couldn't hold my giddiness back and had to give this book it's due. It is already obvious that this audio book not only has a highly skilled narrator but also an outstanding story, characters, character progression world etc. It is filled with creative ideas and innovative concept and the RPG aspect is not invasive or repetitively boring in the least. That the first part of this hopefully quickly emerging series has 30+ hours makes it a true apex contender in this book market and genre.

Edit: I just finished the book.. it is truly special. What an epic story of a hopefully soon to be continued legendary series. It pains me that there is no sequel already but one can't have everything. I'm truly grateful to the author's for writing this piece of art and for them to publish it in audible where the talented narrator can bring it to life.

9,8/10 - An A-Rank start to an S-Rank series.

ich konnte nicht aufhören und habe das Buch in 3-4 Tagen verschlungen. Ich kann es nur empfehlen und freue mich auf den nächsten Teil.

Ich mag dieses Progression-Genre sehr gerne und obwohl ich schon viele gute gehört habe, gehört dieses Hörbuch (englische Version) ab sofort zu meinem Top 3

Die Story und der Sprecher haben mich total gefesselt, die Charaktere berührt und zum mitfiebern gebracht. Bei mir lief vor dem geistigen Auge tatsächlich ein Film ab, da der Autor sehr immersiv (be)schreibt.

Everyone who loves themselves a good portion of slice of life paired with SciFi elements and a Hero progression will love this book. The fights are there (obviously) but not as dominantly as in other stories, yet still more than in f.e. Heretical Fishing. It strikes a good balance and characters are pretty well built. A little focused but not single minded and in alignment with the setting.

In diesem Hörbuch ist einfach alles stimmig. die Charaktere sind realistisch, tief und entwickeln sich, genau so wie es sein soll. Viele andere Autoren bekommen das allerdings nicht gut hin. Die Story ist packend und doch nicht zu hektisch. Zeitsprünge wo sie passen und detaillierte Erzählung wo sonst etwas fehlen würde. Auch von der Geschichte war ich absolut begeistert. Ein charakterstarker Protagonist mit Freunden, um die ich ihn nicht nur ein Mal beneidet habe.
Ich kann dieses Hörbuch nur dringend weiterempfehlen, denn auch der Vorleser ist einfach der Hammer!

Nicht unbedingt eine neue Geschichte. Viel flache und teilweise papier-dünne Charaktere. Alles in allem aber dennoch kompetent konstruiert. Was die Story besser gemacht hätte, wäre sich mehr mit den Realitäten von Militärdienst und ähnlichem Hintergrundwissen auseinander zu setzen, da hier zu viel inkonsequent und inkonsistent ist. Weniger 'lit-rpg-tropes' hätten der Story mMn auch gut getan.

Only the first book in the series, and already in my Top10. The characters are well constructed and narrated. The storyline is interesting and promising/hinting towards much more interesting stuff to come in the future (which hopefully will happen). The many combat scenes are extraordinarily well done by a true master. The narration is top tier. All in all: Full marks, congratulations.
