Über diesen Titel

Kirk Jensen always chased his dreams. He even left home and chased them across the country.

He expected that hard work, training, and determination would make his dreams a reality. Afterall, people always say that if you work hard, you can achieve your goals.

He did not expect to be a short order cook working long shifts for minimum wage. He certainly didn't expect to take the garbage out one night and find himself confronted by a thousand pounds of fury armed with fangs and claws. He did not expect to survive.

Now, Kirk finds himself in the center of a world he never thought possible. Caught between two powerful forces, he's pushed to make a decision. That decision will change the future of his new home. He doesn't know what the right decision is, and as tempting as the offers are, only one side can win. Thankfully, he's got a pair of interesting women to show him his options.

But he better hurry up. If he doesn't decide fast, one side might just decide for him.

I'm Just A Small Town Shifter contains adult situations, language, violence, and harem elements. It is intended for mature listeners. You've been warned.

I am totally surprised by the well thought and written story. The characters feel real and not shallow. The right amount of spice, for an harem story. Just surprisingly good. Give it a try.

Surprising

The picture is not so we'll spoken as the story well written and have such a chill pace and relaxing voices reading it. I mean it did have quite an action but it was a good background book read. Delivered more then expected 👌

Quite a gem

Let's get the good points Out of the way First:
- the narration ist quite good. The narrators do a decent Job with what they're given.
- the story hast sone interesting twists and the naughty bits are overall okay.

Now for the not so great part (and it's a big one!):
- there is a huge emphasis on certain characters being 'Alpha males'. This always made me groan since the entire Alpha male hypothesis was disproven long ago by the same guy who postulated it... So I'm instantly thrown off because the author tells me by accident that they have no actual clue (1) how pack/family dynamics work; (2) how interspecies relationships/dynamics work; (2.5) how territorial behavior regarding those interspecies relationships/dynamics work (3) how food chains work...
This becomes a huge problem when 90% of the story depends on this shallow, if not completely absent understanding of pack dynamics. It turns characters who are supposed to be successful businessmen as well as ancient and wise leadership figures into short-fused morons.

I dislike stories like these because they feed into this bullshit 'Alpha-male' fantasy that for some reason gained a lot of traction lately just to provide flimsy justifications for potentially violent and antisocial behavior by short fused idiots, all while having no basis in reality whatsoever...

Ah... It's one of those...
