Ted Gioia ist mit diesem Buch etwas wunderebares gelungen. Er macht den Leser neugierig auf Jazz und nimmt in bei seinen Begegnungen mit dieser Kunstform so an die Hand, dass er sofort selbstständig weiter gehen kann. Großartig!

While the first part of the book didn’t catch me, the second part, talking about all the different styles, and the different protagonist in jazz did.

Good overview over the different Jazz styles ans the main protagonists.
