This book feels like a look inside the mind of someone with huge issues. It seems like a given considering it's about someone describing how they killed their relatives, but the main character does not think they did anything wrong, and is skilled at making you believe everything she did was justified. The reader captures the mental voice of the character perfectly imo. You can really feel how condescending she is and seemingly hates women, or everyone really, while being cold and calm enough to not make you realize it immeditely. She is, imo, also an unreliable narrator.
If you like to psychoalanyze or have a book club or do video book reviews or anything like that, it can be all fun and good. But if you read/listen to it casually, you might get roped in by the MC and find yourself on her side until you actually listen and pay attention. Because of this, I don't recommend this if you listen to audio books while doing other things.

Update: I kept thinking about the botched ending of this book. And now I'm deducting one star of my overall review because I'm still mad about it months later.

I loved it all but the last 10 mins turned the whole story topsy turvy and left me so damn unsatisfied and actually mad..when the thing that confused me happened I was initially impressed and exited but then this went literally no where good at all…why did u have to do us like that Bella!!!!!

All in all a great story

The editing of the main character is badly done and the story's flow is disrupted. The story itself is well put together, albeit at times a little long winded and at times makes you almost start to skip chapters. Twist of additional character entering near the end greatly helps and the narration much better. Not the best but an enjoyable listen.

Enjoyment spoilt by poor editing.
