Über diesen Titel

For thousands of years, there has been a cycle: a Demon King rises and conquers, and a Hero is reborn a hundred years later to defeat him. Each time, civilizations are ground to dust beneath the Demon King's hordes, but humanity has remained secure in the belief that a Hero of legend will always save them. There's just one slight problem. It's only been 23 years since the Demon King's latest rise, and this time, he's already conquered more than half the world. If humanity simply waits for the Hero's return, there may be no world left for him to save.

And so, Yui Shaw sets out with an ambitious plan. A 10-step plan.

She'll find a way to obtain the Hero's legendary sword. She'll earn obscure classes, gain levels, and increase her skills. She'll travel to the meticulously-crafted dungeons that seem designed for one specific Hero to complete. And, if she's truly (un)fortunate, she might even find a fairy.

She might not be a Hero - but if she can fake it long enough, she might still be able to save the world.

Many Cliches and references of/to the Zelda/Link universe. Harmless entertainment with a bit of litRPG progression. Shallow, easy and almost no boring passages. I enjoyed it.

Kurze Geschichte mit sympathischen Charakteren und viel Humor. Viele Anspielungen auf Legend of Zelda. Die Charaktere sind alle sehr klischeehaft und zugespitzt, aber es passt zum generellen Ton des Buchs.

Vorweg das ist ein Hörbuch was an dem Spiel Zelda orientiert ist aber es geht einen komplett anderen Weg so dass es egal ist ob man das Spiel gespielt hat oder man sich dafür interessiert.
Die Sprecherin ist bisher die beste auf Audible die ich gefunden habe. Mit Abstand.
Alles in allem super Unterhaltung, nie langweilig und die Hauptfigur ist super sympathisch.

Wenn das Buch nichts für euch ist probiert Skyward von Brandon Sanderson. Es wird euch nicht enttäuschen

I like Andrew Rowe in general and this book - though being different than his usual style - fulfilled my expectations. It is funny, interesting and in many facets novel. I just disliked the length, of which I knew before the purchase, and the lacking skill of Suzy Jackson, who was not able to speak male voices, something I expect of a mediocre voice actor.

If you play RPGs, this one's for you. The author pokes fun at all the tropes you encounter in RPGs, making them the main mechanics of his world. The protagonist, who is definitely not a hero, finds her own unconventional way to walk the hero's path to defeat the demon king.
Suzy Jackson breathes so much live into the characters, lending each their unique voices. I cannot imagine anyone else reading this book.

ich hab garantiert nicht mal die Hälfte aller Anspielungen verstanden. Dennoch war das Buch witzig geschrieben. Ab und zu war es mir zu viel Erklärung, Erklärung, Erklärung, aber der Humor, die Seitenhiebe aufs Genre und die tolle Sprecherin machten das wett.

If you play MMORPGs you’ll really appreciate this story. It doesn’t feel like one of those stories where the writer had no idea about video games. It’s legit and even incorporates elements from different real video games that feel like fun easter eggs. It’s a decently fun story, but nothing that I’d personally think about for much longer. With how well it’s read, it’s definitely one of the better audiobooks though.
However, I think people who aren’t familiar with mmorpgs at all will probably find the story a bit silly and confusing and won’t be able to appreciate it as much.

The reader is my favourite reader. She’s just great and kills any story she reads. She does different voices for characters and such. She’s awesome 10/10.

Definitely check this out if you know anything about mmorpgs at all!
